Studio RED is excited to announce that Cope Bailey has joined the firm as an Associate. Cope has 27 years of experience in the architecture industry, specializing in designing non-profit, retail, educational and civic facilities.
Goode Company Seafood’s Memorial location has moved to a nearby spot. The seafood restaurant, formerly at 10211 Katy Freeway, moved to 10201 Katy Freeway, suite 400, on Nov. 4. The 8,378-square-foot restaurant was designed by Goode Company Restaurants CEO Levi Goode, alongside Houston-based Gin Design Group and Houston-based Studio Red Architects.
Houston Farmers Market’s upcoming redevelopment is one step closer to completion. A groundbreaking ceremony for the project at 2520 Airline Drive was held Aug. 6. Scheduled to be completed in late 2020 or early 2021, the 17.67-acre market will include more modern infrastructure, climate-controlled spaces, open-air market areas, restrooms and common seating areas.
The Woodlands Hills, a master-planned community owned and operated by Dallas-based The Howard Hughes Corp. just opened its new 10,600-square-foot activity center.
The new development will feature a number of new restaurant locations, notably a second location for Kirby Ice House. Mia’s Table, which already has three locations in Upper Kirby, Shenandoah and Webster, will see its fourth location in the new development, and the explosively popular Austin-based Torchy’s Tacos will open its 15th location there.
Grand Central Park, the master-planned community that Johnson Development Corp. is building on the Boy Scouts’ former Camp Strake land in Montgomery County, will open a 13-acre amenity complex next year.

Our panel of judges narrowed down the finalists to 60 projects in 19 categories for this year’s awards.
Poitin, a new 8,000-sf restaurant designed by Studio Red and located within Sawyer Yards will feature an elegant design aesthetic, bar, private dining rooms and a 1,600-sf patio with downtown skyline views.
