Studio RED Architects is pleased to announce the promotion of Marcia Eddington, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, to Partner. Marcia joined Studio RED in August 2017 and has consistently demonstrated a strong commitment to design excellence, collaboration, and leadership across a wide range of project types.
Since joining Studio RED Architects, Marcia has played an integral role in the delivery of complex and meaningful projects, bringing a thoughtful and organized approach to each phase of design and documentation. Her ability to solve problems, manage teams, and maintain strong client relationships has made her a trusted leader within the firm.
Marcia is a registered Architect in the State of Texas and a LEED Accredited Professional with a focus on Building Design + Construction. Her past professional experience includes work at Ziegler Cooper and Chenevert Architects, as well as an early internship with Architexas. She specializes in amenity centers, private K–12 schools, nonprofit work, and unique project types that require a high level of coordination and creativity.
Notable Studio RED projects led by Marcia include Cypress Christian School, a master-planned, 40-acre campus located in the heart of Bridgeland serving students from kindergarten through twelfth grade. The campus includes a new elementary school, secondary school, gymnasium with two full courts, athletics fieldhouse, and a variety of site amenities organized around a central courtyard. She also contributed to the Houston Farmers Market transformation, which reimagined the city’s oldest and largest daily market into a world-class destination while preserving its cultural heritage through adaptive reuse, new climate-controlled retail spaces, outdoor canopies, and an activated public plaza across the 18-acre site.
In addition to her project work, Marcia is active in the architecture community and served as Networking and Communication Chair for Women in Architecture through the American Institute of Architects. Outside of the office, she enjoys traveling, exploring new restaurants, and spending time with her family.
