2022 was a productive year for Studio Red with numerous projects that completed design and started construction.  Of the many we’re tracking into the new year, we thought we would share just a glimpse of what we’re excited to unveil as the year moves forward.

Southlake Medical Office Building

Construction is now underway for a four-story medical office building in the Lakefront District in Downtown Columbia, Maryland. This groundbreaking is the first major milestone in The Howard Hughes Corporation’s rejuvenation of the Lakefront District and Studio Red’s first project in the greater Baltimore area.

Lakeside Park

The finishing touches are being applied now on the new pavilion at Lakeside Park in Angleton, Texas. Designed in conjunction with Clark Condon, the new pavilion will be part of a public park for City of Angleton which includes nature trails, picnic areas, a butterfly garden, event lawn, and a kayak launch.

Legacy Prep Academy

Work is nearly complete on a new classroom addition for Legacy Prep which includes space for the lower school on the first floor along with a multipurpose assembly space and middle and upper school on the second floor.

Vietnamese Martyrs Catholic Church

Ground was recently broken on a new sanctuary for Vietnamese Martyr Church located in southeast Houston, part of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston. The project will reconstruct the existing sanctuary church into a new facility that will double their seating capacity. The expanded sanctuary will also incorporate refurbished elements from the original Co-Cathedral as well as incorporate other spiritual elements such as murals that are significant to the local congregation.

Lone Star College Performing Arts Center

The new Visual & Performing Arts Building for Lone Star College-University Park is scheduled to be completed in 2023. The new 31,000 gsf facility will be used for instructional teaching and will feature art studios for painting and drawing, a 340-seat proscenium theater, a 100-seat black box theater, scene shop, orchestra rehearsal room, and other support spaces.

Elyson’s Lakeside Landing

Work continues on the second Amenity Center for the growing Elyson development in West Houston.  Lakeside Landing will feature a community building with a fresh take on the Prairie-style architecture of Elyson’s first major amenity, Elyson House, which was inspired the work of famous American architect Frank Lloyd Wright.  The building will feature a large gathering room for resident groups and activities, with a covered pavilion for outdoor events.
