Studio RED Architects is proud to announce that the TreeHouse Memorial City is now LEED® certified to the Platinum level by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).

With a score of 95 points, this project has achieved LEED® for Building Design and Construction: Core and Shell Development (LEED® BD+C: Core and Shell) at the Platinum Level, marking this project as the highest credit point total in Texas, and the second highest in the U.S. for this rating system.

PaperCity Design AwardsStudio RED Wins Best Commercial Sustainable Design

Studio RED Architects was presented the Commercial Sustainable Design award at the third annual PaperCity Design Awards for the design of the TreeHouse Memorial City. PaperCity, with The Houston Design Center, celebrates design innovation through the annual awards program and selected award-recipients from over 180 submissions in 17 categories. Studio RED was honored among the other recipients in an invitation-only event at the Houston Design Center on Tuesday, April 7.

“It was a real treat to be recognized by a publication like PaperCity,” says Pete Ed Garrett, Partner, Studio RED Architects. “The magazine celebrates fresh style and local trendsetters in interior design, and we’re happy to be included in that group.”

Main Stree Theater DesignConstruction Begins on Main Street Theater in Rice Village

What was once a one-story building with an apartment is being transformed by Studio RED Architects into an improved landmark for the Houston arts community.

The renovated 5,700 sf black box theater will include 99 seats with a flexible configuration, support and gathering spaces for actors and patrons, and a rehearsal hall on the second floor which will be used for summer camps and classrooms for children.

Landmark Award Studio REDTreeHouse Memorial City Named Best Workplace Interior

The Houston Business Journal (HBJ) named Studio RED Architects’ design of The TreeHouse Memorial City the winner of the Best Workplace Interior in the 2015 Landmark Awards, Special Project Category. HBJ’s annual Landmark Awards recognize real estate projects that make a significant impression on the Houston landscape and improve the look, feel and image of the city.

The TreeHouse interior’s flexible design allows for an innovative work atmosphere for employees, tenants, consultants, and investors. Lifting large overhead doors, flying walls, and rotating screens create more open social areas for events.
