Studio Red Designing New Volunteer Center at DePelchin’s Memorial Campus

JLH-DePelchin-Preliminary-Design

Studio Red Architects is designing a new two-story, 21,000-square-foot volunteer center at DePelchin’s Memorial campus.

This new building will quadruple DePelchin’s capacity to provide donated goods to support families and children in need. Additionally, the expansion will double its family classroom and volunteer workroom space to support its mission to enhance children’s mental and physical well-being.

This facility will be named “Junior League of Houston Volunteer Services Building at DePelchin Children’s Center,” in honor of the League’s $2,000,000 commitment to help fund the construction. With a projected grand opening date of June 2025, the new facility will begin serving the Houston community in conjunction with the League’s celebration of its Centennial Anniversary. It will feature a “History Wall” of archival material that will visually illustrate the century of partnership between the organizations.

You can learn more about the Junior League’s support and the new building on their website at https://www.jlh.org/centennial/.
