Studio RED continues to grow and is pleased to announce the promotion of Gwyndolyn Mowbray Anderson, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, to Partner. Gwyndolyn joined Studio RED in June 2012, and her leadership, technical expertise, and commitment to collaboration have played a key role in shaping the firm’s culture and project success.
Gwyndolyn is a registered Architect in the States of Texas and Colorado and a LEED professional with a focus on Building Design + Construction. She is a graduate of Auburn University, where she earned a dual degree in Architecture and Interior Architecture, and participated in the Rural Studio Design/Build program. Since joining Studio RED, she has steadily advanced within the firm, serving as Managing Director of the Denver office beginning in January 2017, followed by her promotion to Principal in March 2022.
Gwyndolyn specializes in theatre projects, performing arts centers, complex renovations, and high school campuses; all of which require careful coordination and long-term planning. Notable projects at Studio RED include the Alley Theatre, the first major renovation of the iconic Houston landmark, which successfully integrated modern theatre technology into a 1960s Brutalist structure. She also led Treehouse Memorial City, a Double LEED Platinum project that serves as both a showcase building and a teaching tool for sustainability, and Diamond Head Theatre in Hawaii, a new community theatre designed to support Broadway-level performances and cultural programming. Additional education projects include The Kinkaid Upper School and the Episcopal High School Student Center; both of which emphasize connection, natural light, and phased construction to maintain campus continuity.
In addition to her project work, Gwyndolyn serves as the firm’s BIM Team Lead, oversees drawing standards, and leads social media efforts. She also manages Studio RED’s Denver office and is active in professional organizations, including ACE Mentorship, SMPS Colorado (previous Board Member), and the Marketing Excellence Awards Committee (2022 Chair). Outside of the office, Gwyndolyn enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and two sons.
