  • PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Studio RED was selected to partner with the Sabine River Authority to create a master plan improving access along several lakes. The Sabine River Authority manages properties and waterways along the Sabine River from North Central Texas to the Gulf of Mexico. The master plan improves access to this land and creates opportunities for outdoor recreation. Bass sport fishing is particularly popular at the world-renowned Lake Fork in northeast Texas. The new Caney Point park includes an 8,085 sf, open-air, pavilion created to service fishing tournaments hosted by the Sabine River Authority. Additional facilities include a restroom building and both buildings use a recognizable, signature design consistent across all network parks.

Bass sport fishing is particularly popular at the renowned Lake Tawakoni in northeast Texas. The Holiday Marina park facility was on a previously developed site that was purchased by the Sabine River Authority. Studio RED was selected to renovate the park facilities, including a new 8,085 sf, open air pavilion to service fishing tournaments hosted at the new park. A new restroom building is being designed to support the pavilion. Both the pavilion and the restroom feature a signature design style, easily recognizable throughout all parks in the Sabine River Authority network.
