West End Baptist Church, now West End Church, has been a fixture in the Houston community for the past 109 years. Located at 802 Shepherd, just over a block away from Washington Avenue, the church sits on prime real estate. But, rather than selling, West End Baptist Church partnered with River Pointe Church to modernize the facilities, originally built in the 1930s and 1960s. Studio Red upgraded the worship center and educational center, while maintaining the integrity and charm of the buildings. Great care was taken to preserve design details from the original building. For example, the team opened up an existing stained glass window and exposed it to the inside of the sanctuary. Originally, the window was only visible from the exterior.

Studio RED was selected to convert an abandoned 1930s education building into a coffee house on the West End Church campus. The second floor was removed and made into a mezzanine and the upper floor functions as an assembly space. Acoustics were prioritized so the space can accommodate a variety of events. The building also features a roof top deck, modern mural an outdoor gathering space and play area.
